Barn in the Fells

  • The Barn - Beautiful large rustic space for up to 180 guests with some heating and props.

  • The Fells - Take a wander up a hill next door for some epic scenic shots among the fells or even host your ceremony there. Its a short walk to Rydal Water or the river and Loughrigg makes a glorious backdrop!

  • The Barn Bar - Bring your own option or our wonderful Wine List plus all the staff and glassware needed for great service. We can even add a Mixologist into the mix!

  • The Shippen Bar - Cosy snug downstairs with a bar, perfect for Reception Drinks or Cocktail Hour.

  • The Undercroft - Stunning space downstairs, next to the yard, with benches for Ceremony, pretty lighting and calm atmosphere… great for a wet weather Drinks Reception too.

  • The Sheep Yard - Including festoon lighting, seating and its getting greener each year.

  • Catering Space - Shelter, power and water for your caterer of choice.

  • Professional Planning Help - Weddings by Annabel - Planning consultations, expert guidance throughout your DIY planning journey and on the day coordination including help sourcing brilliant suppliers.

  • Weekend Hire - Reign over this little kingdom Fri (12-6pm), Saturday (8am-midnight) & Sun (8am-12noon).

  • Wedding Licence - Officially Registered for legal Ceremonies (via Cumbria Registration Service).

OPTIONAL:

Extra Night - Take over the ground floor for the Friday Night party 6-11pm including The Shippen Bar, Sheep Yard, Undercroft and power access for a food van (min spend £800).

Crow How Guest House

  • Guest Accommodation - You can have a handy option for you and your guests and only a few steps away! Why not book bed and breakfast for 19 guests for two nights, right next door and with stunning views and huge garden. This space is great for a Blessing or a post Ceremony or dining wander.

As a truly DIY style venue, we know its difficult to estimate costs so here is a rough guide to help you compare…

EXAMPLE

To have a wonderful event the basics would include the following then you would allow budget for the ceremony, decoration, attire, and entertainment.

Furniture:

Round wooden tables with ten wooden chairs each

80 Guests - £625 / 100 Guests - £780 / 120 Guests - £936

Catering:

Canapes / Three Course Meal / Evening Food

Between £50-150 per person

e.g 100 Guests - £10,000

Drinks:

Welcome Fizz + Wine on the Table (then pay bar)

Per Guest - £7.50 (100 Guests = £750)
